Valentine’s Day is upon us and the question always arises:
What do I get my significant other?
A big hesitation with many shoppers is the budget. Flowers are beautiful, but can be costly. Jewelry will make her smile, but is also very expensive.
So how do you resolve your dilemma of getting your someone special that special something?
Think outside the proverbial box.
Go somewhere that has a special meaning.
First date, first kiss, the site where you proposed. Some location that has history between the two of you. Even if it’s a skating rink (indoor or outdoor) or bowling alley. If you went on a quick lunch date at Uncle Maddio’s – come back to see us on Valentine’s Day.
Fix their favorite meal.
A lot of the fancy/fine-dining restaurants will be booked up with reservations or otherwise busy with everyone going out to eat. Go with what you know they love to eat (and as a home-cooked meal!) – the effort and thoughtfulness typically strikes a nice romantic chord.
Be HEART-y with your gift.
Heart shaped anything! Remember that home-cooked meal idea above? Find a dish that you can shape into a heart. At the very least, the overly romantic gesture will get you two to laugh in all it’s cheesy glory!
At the end of the day, remember they are with you on Valentine’s Day because you are YOU. Be romantic without being careless with your money.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
